February 28th, 2009 OTK Tube Socks

So I was having a little dance party at the apartment when my plans fell thru for the night and decided to take a few shots…

Finally wearing my OTK Turquoise tubes from Hot Topic. They’re super comfy and reaaaally long! And they stay up quite well too! Wore them with my new boots from Ross Dress For Less and of course, lots more turquoise! Here’s a close up of the socks and boots:

Highly recommended and they come in more bright colors like yellow, green, orange, and pink. I believe I have the yellows too.

December 28th, 2005 Loser at Love

Today I’m wearing the other pair of skull shorties from the two pack I featured in the last post.

the outfit

The outfit is accessorized and matching from head to toe, which is something I like to do. I’m wearing a red and black striped shirt, blue jeans with black pyramid belt & my “Loser at Love” belt buckle (that I got yesterday), a red/black/white vertical stripe scarf (that I got for Christmas from my parents), the striped skull socks with the skull with the bow on it’s head, and my black Converse sneakers with skull and star fat laces. My earrings are black hoops in one hole and black hanging skulls in the other but you can’t see them in the pics.

the outfit with closeups

I added the closeups so you could see how cute the belt buckle is and the matching shoe laces. The socks are cute but pretty much hidden if it weren’t for the slits on the side of my jeans. I’m about to go out to the bar in a little bit because tonight we’re having “Sex and the City” night and a bunch of us girls (whoever remembered at least) are getting together to watch the show and drink Cosmo’s. It should be fun! I’ll try and update this post if anyone says anything about the outfit while I’m out.

December 27th, 2005 Nerd Stripes

I’m such a nerd. I got some cute skull ankle socks from my friend Brandi for Christmas this year. But since they’re so short they’re really hard to show off as a main focus of an outfit so I just wore them under pants. I guess that’s why I’m not the biggest fan of socks that short.

Skull Shorties

They came in a two-pack from Hot Topic which is where she works. I decided to wear the pair with the three skulls to work with my little nerdy outfit. The top is a really nice green striped tunic from Forever 21 and the pants and green/navy/turquoise plaid from Delia’s. I think you could only really see the socks when I was sitting down with my legs up on the cooler watching tv, but I knew they were there so that’s all that matters.

November 26th, 2005 Red and Black Stripes

I don’t wear a lot of red because I don’t usually like it that much but today I decided to go all red and black and it looked really nice.

Red & Black Armwarmers over Black & White socks

The outfit is a nice red ribbed sweater, black pants, black & white striped knee high socks under red and black striped arm warmers worn as legwarmers and my black converse that I changed to red laces for this outfit. I think it was very pretty. Red and black seems to always be a bold bright look and I think I wore it well with this combo.

Red & Black Armwarmers over Black & White socks

The socks were in a three pack from Delia’s a while back but the K Bell Knee Highs would make a great substitution and are probably even better than these ones. (I have them in black and yellow & those are one of my favorites). The armwarmers are Hot Topic brand which I really like because they’re nice and loose on the arms so they don’t squeeze too hard and they don’t have to stretch much to wear on your legs either. They were both really comfortable and stayed up right under my knees the whole time at work with no problems at all. And they definitely helped with keeping my legs warm the little bit that I was outside today.

November 12th, 2005 Yellow Argyle

My friend Brandi gave me some awesome Yellow Argyle socks that she got on Clearance at Hot Topic cuz she knew I would wear them a lot more often than she would. I decided it would go great for 80’s Night with my yellow “I <3 the 80's" shirt.

It was pretty cool since the socks and tights lined up really well. Unfortunately I didn’t get any full body pics while we were out so I had to take pics later without my cute make up they put on me and such.

I 3 the 80's

I LOVE these tights. I got them ages ago but haven’t worn them that much since I didn’t used to wear tights that much. But lately it’s pretty necessary with how cold it’s gotten and since I have so many more skirts than pants now-a-days. You can get them at Sock Dreams now! You’ll love them too! The socks are probably hard to get though since I think they’re Men’s and were on clearance real cheap at Hot Topic when she got them so they’re probably gone by now most places.

October 26th, 2005 School Girl Style

This is just an outfit for me, but I’m sure it’s a common costume choice for the rest of the female population this time of year. I wear pleated skirts and knee socks and such all year round though.

School Girl Style

This is the first time I’ve ever worn a tie in public but I think it was cute and went well with the rest of the outfit. The tights are the same from a few entries back, the light blue ones from Hot Topic, and the knee socks are new from Deb at the mall. They’re two shades of blue with white argyles and they have little playboy bunnies on them. My friend Brandi got the same pair but in pinks.

Close Up on Socks

They are very comfy and stay up great over tights. I haven’t worn them without the tights yet so I can’t say how they work that way.

September 3rd, 2005 Tights and Legwarmers

I’ve been going through my clothes and accessories lately and setting aside the things I’ve never worn or only worn once and trying to wear them or get rid of them. So I recently bought a pair of light blue tights from the clearance bin at Hot Topic but hadn’t worn them yet. I originally tried them out with my blue corduroy skirt and a brown top which looked quite nice but I needed brown legwarmers to finish off the outfit and didn’t have any. So I ended up wearing my sister’s new deconstructed skirt from Abercrombie and Fitch with my gray legwarmers and a batman tee.

Wore the outfit out to dinner and then to the bar on Saturday night but unfortunately my friends weren’t up for staying out late so it was an early night. Got lots of compliments from the friends though. I’m thinking tights and legwarmers are going to make their way into my wardrobe a lot more often now that it’s starting to get cold at night and will soon be fall.
