April 20th, 2005 Black Knee Highs

Today I decided to wear my orange plaid ruffled skirt to school. It’s the same outfit as in this picture except with a short sleeve black shirt instead of the tank top.

The knee highs seemed to have shrunk since the last time I wore them, either that or they have always been smaller than the white pair I have and I just didn’t notice till today.

Orange Skirt and Black Knee Highs

They aren’t too tight or uncomfortable or anything like that. In fact I really couldn’t feel them on and didn’t have to pull them up or anything all day. They’re smooth and always attract positive attention. There’s something about solid knee highs in particular that makes all the guys stop and stare. And I’ve noticed that every time I wear a skirt and some hot socks to school a guy in one of my classes will all of a sudden talk to me that day. It doesn’t seem to be a coincidence either since it seems to always happen where as only people I’m friends with will talk to me normally in class other than if something class related comes up.

These are perfect for people with small sock collections who just want the essentials. I think these and my white pair get worn the most out of my collection because they’re just so versatile and pretty much go with almost everything I have. They’re a must have for anyone who likes to accessorize with socks!

April 19th, 2005 Lemon Lime Stripes

This is my most recent sock purchase. Just got them in sometime last week or the week before and wore them for the first time last night. I can actually do a good review on them this time.

THey are the Lemon/Lime Green Knees and I had purchased them to go with a yellow and green striped polo shirt that I have but when they arrived the colors didn’t quite match. The shirt was more neon/brighter where as the socks are more pastel/lighter and it just didn’t look right together. I considered sending them back or trying to sell them on Laundro or something until last night when I came up with this combination.

Lemon Lime Stripes

I wore them with my yellow “Peas on Earth” t-shirt and my cute little green skirt to work at the bar last night. Some people loved it and others thought it was odd but I don’t think they particullary DIS-liked it or anything.

They stayed above the knees for quite some time. After a while though, the material started to irritate my knees when I had my legs crossed so I ended up rolling them down to just under my knees. They’d probably stay up better with sock garters if you like them, but I’m not big on those other than the spikes for added accessorizing. I don’t usually wear them for functionality, maybe I should?

April 19th, 2005 Yellow and Black Stripes

These Yellow and Black Striped Knee Highs are different from all the other horizontal stripes I’ve gotten in the past. They are more like socks than stockings and of course they’re knee high instead of thigh high. Reguardless, I like these a lot. They are warm and I’ve actually worn them a few times out of the house which is very good considering some of my older purshases STILL haven’t made their public debuts and these are one of my newer buys. I guess it helps when I get stuff with something in mind to wear them with.

Yellow Stripes

I like to wear these with boots and my yellow plaid skirt from Hot Topic. They are snug and fit pretty much like any knee high socks you get in stores. The only thing I didn’t like about them was that they were marketed as Halloween socks on the packaging they came with and that kind of thing annoys me because I wear them for every day going out. But that’s just the fault of the manufacturer and not me or Sock Dreams. I’m sure they’d probably agree with my feelings about the packaging as well.

April 19th, 2005 Vertical Stripes

I fell in love with these vertical stripes the first time I saw them. I actually originally wanted the red and black but opted for the light pink and black since I already have red and black horizontal stripes and red isn’t a big color in my wardrobe. I do plan on getting the red and black vertical stripes eventually because they’re super hot.

Vertical Stripes

My review:
Well the color wasn’t quite what I expected it to be, I was thinking it would be lighter. But I was able to find a shirt that matches it almost exactly so that was good. For some reason it seems that one of the thigh highs is longer than the other and pretty much reaches up my entire leg. These are thicker and warmer than most of the other thigh high horizontal stripes that I’ve purchased in the past. Also they feel nicer, maybe cuz the thickness makes them feel tighter, but I really like these and definately recommend them to everyone else!

April 12th, 2005 Gray and Pink Armwarmers

I had some trouble getting these arm warmers. When I ordered them some kind of mixup happened and I ended up receiving some pink and navy blue armwarmers that I didn’t really like. I e-mailed the people at sock dreams and they were very helpful and sent me out the right pair really quick and even let me keep the old pair in case I could find someone who wanted them. Well I found a new owner for them, Amber’s good friend Sarah, and I absolutely love my new pair.

Striped Arm Warmers

They are cute worn long to the elbows or scrunched up at the wrists.

Striped Arm Warmers

My arms are fairly small and they are tight so if you have bigger arms than mine you might want to steer clear of these or just wear them often to stretch them.

April 12th, 2005 Army Green Bootsocks

I got these bootsocks to go with my new boots and because everyone was always saying great things about them over at Sock Dreams. I picked the color to go with my coat since it was winter at the time and I was always wearing it. So that’s what I chose to take the pics for this entry in.

Bootsocks

Now my review.
The feet are nice and cushy but they were a little too roomy for my size 9 1/2’s. The length was good and the material very comfy.

My coat is from Fashion Bug and it’s pretty awesome. It’s green cordoroy and came with a little hat, scarf, and arm warmers that match the coloring. The scarf and arm warmers are in the picture as well. I thought this shot came out pretty awesome and that’s why I picked it.
