| June 28th, 2005 | Arlequins |
Got my sock order in today, earlier than I expected too! It was my splurge on these $20 beauties with some contest winnings! They sure are beautiful! They’re called Arlequins.
They’re beautiful, that’s a fact. But after wearing them for the night at work I’ve found some dissappointing news. They weren’t tight or anything on my legs yet the diamonds had these little strings coming out and it looks pretty shitty. Also they don’t stay up very well at all. They stay over the knees at all times but they fall down a couple inches every single time I got up and sat back down, this can become annoying seeing as I get up and sit down a lot when I have to keep getting people beers and the last thing I want to do is keep pulling my socks up over and over. If they were like $5 I wouldn’t complain but when you pay $20 for a pair of socks you expect them to be something special. Yes they’re very unique and good looking, but when the first day you wear them they start to mess up you start to wonder why you spent so much.
As you can see in that last picture, the diamonds stringing like that make the socks look cheap and poorly constructed, which is the last thing you expect from $20 socks. Maybe they should have spent more time making the stitching around the diamonds sturdy instead of the heels and toes for no good reason. Yes they’re beautiful, yes they’re comfortable, but to me those things are over-shadowed somewhat by the quality that is lacking. | June 26th, 2005 | Black Satin Garter Dress & Bow Thigh Highs |
Sexy Sexy Sexy…
I’m wearing it with my Black Opaque thigh highs with Bows. They actually stay up just fine on their own but the dress has garters built in and they look sexy giving the thigh highs some extra help. The clasps are very strong and the best I’ve come across in garters. And the dress feels as sexy on the skin as it looks!
It’s very short but thankfully at the right angle laying down you can’t see anything. When standing some cheeks tend to peek out in the back and it’s not something you’d wear out and about anywhere. But it’s a comfy addition to the more modest girl’s lingerie collection, very sexy without showing too much. |

| June 25th, 2005 | Pink Skater Stripes |
Went to the movies tonight to go see “Batman Begins” with my friend Diana and this is the outfit I wore. Pink shorts I found on top of the dryer, my sister’s white designed beater from Delia’s and my new Pink Skater Stripes from Sock Dreams.
Sock Dreams recently had these Skater Stripes made on black and white socks with either two stripes in one color or three stripes in two tonally coordinated colors. I picked up a few pairs in my last order and there was a note on my invoice saying they expected them to be thicker and that they will be in the next batch and they threw in a sample of the new AChevrons for me. I like these socks. They just weren’t what I expected. If you like Sock Dreams Socks then you’ll love these. They’re just like any of the Dream Stocking Styles just with that Skater Sock look. They’re not tube socks, and they’re not thick. They’re a light summery sock that goes about knee high. Mine reached the middle of my knees but probably wouldn’t stay there, I rolled the tops down a little so they were right below my knees and they stayed up just fine throughout the movie.
I recommend these to anyone looking for that skater sock look in a light summery material you can wear when it’s hot as hell outside. If you want a thicker tube style version then go for the SkaterSocks brand, but if you love the Sock Dreams’ Dream Stockings Line these will fit in just great with the rest of your collection! |

| June 15th, 2005 | Rainbow Striped Thigh Highs |
Wore this outfit to school today, a Spongebob shirt, black shorts and Rainbow Striped Thigh Highs.
These are great. They stay up quite nice all on their own. The only thing that was semi-bad about them was when they do slide down a little you have little sock marks on your legs where they were staying up before. I guess that’s just because they have super stay up power. They definitely go up to thigh high but prefer to be a little closer to over the knees. I love them and got some admiring stares and compliments as usual. |

| June 8th, 2005 | Super Stripes and Slouch Socks |
Today I had a presentation on my Intellectual Property Law final paper for Copyright Law. We were supposed to bring visual aids to make it more interesting. I did my paper on Sock Dreams and discussed several IP issues they would come across on a daily basis. I was a walking visual aid in my lilac and seafoam super stripes with lilac slouch socks scrunched up at the ankles.
I also brought in a couple pairs I had gotten recently as additional visual aids. One was the Leg Avenue fishnets with back seams, which I re-packaged how they come since I hadn’t thrown the packaging away yet. The other was an older pair of pink and grey Pink Knees that I just folded and tied back up with the original ribbon and tag. These were to show the differences in packaging and how other companies could likely save a bundle if they packaged more like Sock Dreams. As for the socks. The first day I wore the Super Stripes around the house all day they stayed up quite nicely over the knees. But since I didn’t wash them before I wore them to school for the presentation, they were all stretched out a little and fell onto my knees a few times when I was sitting. The slouch socks were scrunched at the ankles and didn’t move at all. The lilacs matched so perfectly that one of the guys didn’t even notice that they were two seperate pairs of socks that I was wearing. I think the socks went better with the white skirt I originally tested them out with but it was in the wash when I had to wear them for school so I opted for the black instead. Both looked nice, I think the white was just more spring-y and tied the shoes in better.

| June 5th, 2005 | Milk and Cookies Ink Lined |
These are new to sock dreams as well and I just had to have them right away. Just got them in on Friday and wore them to work Saturday night. I just love them!!
When I first pulled them on I commented to myself about how cool they felt even though it was a warm day and they go over my knees. They’re a little snug if I pull them to their full potential but they’d never stay that way anyways. They stayed nicely just above my knees and rolled over cutely at the top on their own a little. Very comfortable and had no problems with them at all. If you want them I’d snap them up quick cuz they just got on the site like last week and already two colors are gone! They’re definately wonderful!! |

| June 2nd, 2005 | Checkered Thighs and B/W Kittys |
My Black and White Kitty Shoes finally arrived today!!! I sure do hate holidays that mess with the mail, especially when I happen to be expecting packages at the same time. But I’m glad they’re finally in!!
I got an 8 last time with the pink and black pair and they were a little snug so I went for a 9 this time since they aparantly don’t make half sizes. Well the 9’s are a little big but nothing that will stop me from wearing them since they’re absolutely adorable.
The thigh highs came in a set with a skimpy little tie-up checkered bikini. It was a great deal although it’s not something that can be worn in public and is more of a lingerie type thing with g-string bottoms and no extra layer for getting wet. Very cute though! Another thing was that the thigh highs only go up to a little over the knees on me. This seems to happen off and on with two different styles in a single brand that are labeled as the same size ending up completely different lengths when you actually put them on. I actually prefer them shorter as opposed to longer anyways. |
