September 27th, 2005 Pink Tights and Denim Legwarmers

I seem to change clothes several times trying to figure out the perfect outfit to wear to work each day. I had planned on showing off my new brown and orange striped legwarmers that came in yesterday but my sister said they made my ankles look real fat and since a boy I like was coming in to visit me at work we figured I should go with something cuter. Took a while but finally found something to go with the beautiful Denim Legwarmers from Sock Dreams.

Pink Tights and Denim Legwarmers

Wore my sister’s “Snuffy” tee with a black pleated skirt, light bright pink Xhilaration tights and the Denim Legwarmers and of course my black converse lowtops. I think the outfit was cute and I got to wear two sock items for their first times ever outside of the house.

The tights are quite comfortable but always needed pulled up when I’d go to the bathroom. Usually I wear legwarmers scrunched at the ankles but these just looked better up over the knees. If you want the tights they sell the brand at Target and the legwarmers are of course from Sock Dreams! You can get them inDenim, Mocha and Charcoal which are all very cute!!

September 24th, 2005 Maroon/Gray Argyles

Here I am again with another perfectly matched outfit!! And this time I got to wear two sock items I haven’t worn yet.

Hue Tights and Argyles

I’m a big fan of argyles but it’s getting colder and colder at night lately so tights definately come in handy. The argyles are knee high (a little over the knee on me) and made by Hue. I got them at Kaufmann’s. The tights are from Kaufmann’s too but were on sale for $1.99 so I just had to snap them up. They’re quite the matching color!! The shirt was from Fashion Bug back when I worked there and the skirt was from Boscov’s earlier this summer. If only I had grey dress shoes it would be perfect! But the black dress shoes work just fine.

Knee high socks over tights are awesome because the tights help the socks stay up better. I can’t wait to go out tonight and show off the outfit at the bar!! Hope you like it too!

September 22nd, 2005 Light Blue and White Stripes

My style ranges all over the place. I do think I have the widest variety of stuff that I wear of all the people I’m around all the time. Maybe because I have so many different kinds of socks that go with so many different kinds of outfits. Lately I’ve liked to wear pretty peasant skirts with t-shirts and belts to dress them down and of course some socks that match.

Light Blue and White Stripes

Last night at the bar it was the white peasant skirt, with light blue and white striped socks and top. I wear almost everything with my black converse low tops which is why I got them in the first place. And the light blue pyramid belt made it’s debut as well.

September 19th, 2005 Brown Stripes

I finally got some Brown Converse Low Tops the last time I was at the mall. I had needed brown shoes for a while cuz I never had anything to wear with a few pairs of mainly brown colored socks that I just love but couldn’t wear.

UNTIL NOW!!!
Brown Stripes!!!

The pics were taken with my camera phone while I was relaxing on a rock in the middle of the creek back behind my house. It’s a peaceful place I’ve been going to lately to relax and just to get out of the house.

Brown Stripes!!!

Brown is just one of the best colors on me. The socks are wonderful! They’re knee high and super comfy and the stripe colors are very earthy and nice. If you want them, they’re currently sold out, but they’ll probably get more, and they’re EG Smith brand if you want to look for them elsewhere. If you like brown and stripes you’ll love these!!

September 18th, 2005 Orange/Green/Black Argyles

Oh How I love me some Argyles!!

Orange Green and Black Argyles

I first saw these in someone else’s post over at SocksAreFun and fell in love. The person always has the best argyles and this time I had the chance to get them too. So when I went shopping with my friend Tess I had to stop in at Target and pick them up for myself. Thankfully there was one pair left and they were mine!! I also found my brown legwarmers and some other argyles and tights that day as well. Target is awesome. I just wish they sold the stuff on their webpage.

Orange Green and Black Argyles

The whole outfit was new actually since I got the shirt to match another pair of socks and the black peasant skirt just cuz I liked it and it was cheap. Halloween is definately the time to go sock shopping in stores, let me tell you, cuz for some reason stripes and fishnets…. seem to be “costume accessories” for those outside the sock loving community. Oh well, at least I was able to pick up these gorgeous babies!

September 13th, 2005 Inklined and Belts

Monday was a great day. Not only was it my last day of classes before Graduation, which is Thursday btw, but it was also a great mail day! Got my 5 belts that I ordered as well as my new belt buckle. So I had to find a nice outfit to wear that I could wear my new stuff with for work.

Inlined and Belts

The outfit is pretty simple but I thought it was very cute. There’s a light grey beater, a jean skirt, and the Milk and Cookies Inlined’s. I also wore my old white belt with the new belt buckle (that’s also a beer-opener on the flip side) and my new light blue belt that practically blends in with the skirt (which is what I was going for).

The inlined’s have been washed and it’s kinda scary when you look at them because they look so tiny but when you put them on they stretch right back up to where they went before. They’re a little tighter at the tops but once you pull them up there they stretch right out to fit nicely. I want to get more colors I’m just trying to make sure I have something to wear with them before I do. And I can’t wait to see the new colors of the nylon inlined’s so I can try those out too.

September 7th, 2005 Destructed Jeans & Stripes

Lots of people have been paying big bucks to buy those jeans with all the holes in them lately so I figured it was the perfect time to bring out my old favorite jeans.

They’re Mudd jeans and a size 5 which I haven’t worn for years. They were my favorites back in my first time around at college which is about 3 years ago. They’re all full of holes, even some that were patched up and new holes appeared around them. But they’re just so comfortable.

They took some stretching in the waist area which happens with wear but I was able to be comfortable in them again now. I just have to remember not to wash them often because they’ll just keep shrinking back down again.

Going along with my stuff I never wear project, I decided to throw some striped thigh highs on under them so the stripes would show through the holes in the jeans. The pair I chose were a present for my 22nd birthday last year from Sock Dreams. They’re pink lemonade stripes and I never did find something to wear them with outside of the house. So they finally made their debut under the favorite jeans at a picnic on Sunday. My sister said she didn’t like the stripes but my mom did and I off course loved it.

Check out more of these hot stripes (and a matching bikini!!) on Crys here!!
