December 28th, 2005 Loser at Love

Today I’m wearing the other pair of skull shorties from the two pack I featured in the last post.

the outfit

The outfit is accessorized and matching from head to toe, which is something I like to do. I’m wearing a red and black striped shirt, blue jeans with black pyramid belt & my “Loser at Love” belt buckle (that I got yesterday), a red/black/white vertical stripe scarf (that I got for Christmas from my parents), the striped skull socks with the skull with the bow on it’s head, and my black Converse sneakers with skull and star fat laces. My earrings are black hoops in one hole and black hanging skulls in the other but you can’t see them in the pics.

the outfit with closeups

I added the closeups so you could see how cute the belt buckle is and the matching shoe laces. The socks are cute but pretty much hidden if it weren’t for the slits on the side of my jeans. I’m about to go out to the bar in a little bit because tonight we’re having “Sex and the City” night and a bunch of us girls (whoever remembered at least) are getting together to watch the show and drink Cosmo’s. It should be fun! I’ll try and update this post if anyone says anything about the outfit while I’m out.

December 27th, 2005 Nerd Stripes

I’m such a nerd. I got some cute skull ankle socks from my friend Brandi for Christmas this year. But since they’re so short they’re really hard to show off as a main focus of an outfit so I just wore them under pants. I guess that’s why I’m not the biggest fan of socks that short.

Skull Shorties

They came in a two-pack from Hot Topic which is where she works. I decided to wear the pair with the three skulls to work with my little nerdy outfit. The top is a really nice green striped tunic from Forever 21 and the pants and green/navy/turquoise plaid from Delia’s. I think you could only really see the socks when I was sitting down with my legs up on the cooler watching tv, but I knew they were there so that’s all that matters.

December 24th, 2005 Santa Stripes

I wore my Santa’s Helper costume to work last night as well as out to the bar afterwards. Unfortunatly the first time I tried it on to take pictures in it, I ended up getting runs in the thigh highs that came with. So I ordered a couple pairs of replacements from Sock Dreams. One pair was some Leg Avenue stripes which I figured would be the same thing as the ones I got runs in, and the other was just a top stripe pair that I thought was really cute. When they both came in and I tried them on with the outfit, the red color of the top stripe pair looked better so I ended up wearing those last night.

Santa Stripes

I got lots of complients, both on the outfit and the socks. I did have to pull them up a few times but I didn’t mind. They never did fall down all that far but over pantyhose they didn’t want to stay up where I had pulled them. They’re really warm, cuz it was very cold out and it was completely tolerable for the time I had to be outside in them. I’m so glad I got to wear these because I just thought they were the cutest things!

December 19th, 2005 Steeler Stripes!

I just love dressing up for Steelers games to show my team spirit and all that. Often times I wear my K Bell Over the Knee Stripes in black and yellow. I really need to get more colors cuz these are just that comfy! They literally are in my top 5 favorite pairs of socks but not something you can wear every day of the week.

Steeler Stripes!

The rest of the outfit is my sister’s Rothlisberger jersey from Kmart, some soccer style black shorts we’ve had forever, and my sister’s white headband. I also played around with my dad’s helmet and football remote for the pictures and I think they came out real cute. Too bad I didn’t want to bring that stuff to the bar with me when I went out.

December 14th, 2005 Santa’s Helper

I got this sexy costume to wear to work and Christmas parties this year. It’s called Santa’s Helper and I got it at Hustler Panties because that’s the place with the best price that I found for it.

Santa's Helper

The costume is by Leg Avenue and comes with red and white striped Thigh Highs to match. It’s a velvet halter dress with fluffy white trim. I also picked up a santa hat at the dollar store to complete the look. Thankfully the dress is long enough that I will get to wear it out, I was worried about that since it’s listed under lingerie on some sites but I think they all pretty much call it a costume so I figured it should be ok. Looks like I’ll get to wear it out and about after all!!

Santa's Helper

Unfortunately the thigh highs got runs in them (well one of them at least) when I was wearing them for the pictures so I’ll have to try to get another pair or something in time to wear it out for the Holidays. It’s a good thing Sock Dreams is super fast, even this time of year! Also the dress sheds a bit, especially over tights/thigh highs and some of the fur comes off on the edges too, not too much or noticably though.

December 13th, 2005 Yellow Ladybug Shorties

I’m usually more into socks as the focal point of my outfit pretty much but I started out collecting those cute little novelty socks and that’s what I was wearing yesterday.

Yellow Lady Bug Shorties

The rest of the outfit is my really old Betty Boop shirt that says “Let’s Face it I’m Cute”, a yellow shiny belt, and a pair of new Bongo destructed jeans from Fashion Bug that I got last week. The hat is a little snow hat from Hot Topic that I really like on me. Hats usually look like crap on me but this one actually looks pretty cute.

The shirt and Hat

As for the fit and such on the socks, they’re your basic shorties. Only go a little higher than the ankles in the lower calf area. They stay up pretty well and I’ve had them for so long yet the colors are still nice and bright. They’re cute with the little lady bugs on the sides and polka dots all over the place. The heel, toes, and around the ankle are all the royal blue color. I just love how the two colors go together so nicely.

December 6th, 2005 Legwarmers!!

I got some great warm legwarmers from Sock Dreams recently.

When I saw the picture they have for the neon green legwarmers/armwarmers I just couldn’t resist even though I had no idea what I’d ever wear them with. They also had some really pretty Royal Blue but were sold out at the time.

When I got the greens I decided to go all out and made an outfit I’d probably never really wear in public but it was cute just the same.

Green Outfit

The outfit consists of a two tone green striped halter dress, neon green legwarmers and armwarmers, a green/grey/white track jacket and HUGE green heart earrings.

Green Outfit

I commented on the Sock Journal asking when the Royal Blues might be back in stock and they said probably not for a while but they can be found on Ebay or the Suppliers webpage for real cheap in the meantime. So I did a quick search and found them and just had to order. I got the Royal Blue to match this really pretty sweater-like top that my sister has and I also picked up a pink pair as well.

Blue Outfit
The outfit consists of a Royal Blue V-Neck Top (my sister’s), a grey ruffle skirt, grey tights (from Trashy.com) and Royal Blue Legwarmers. It’s what I wore to work tonight and I think it’s quite cute.
