February 26th, 2006 Blue & Black Stripes

This is one of my all-time favorite sock outfits. There’s just something about this blue on me that I just really like a lot.

Blue & Black Stripes

It’s my Abominal Snowman tee from TheCottonFactory and black pleated skirt from Forever 21 with the Blue and Black Striped OTK’s. These are the type that are nylon material and I have them in several other colors but this pair is my fav. I think I’ve only worn them with this outfit as well because the colors just match up so nicely and it’s one of my favorite shirts.

Blue & Black Stripes

The funny thing about these two pics is that they were taken almost 2 years apart yet I’ve barely aged since then and the outfit still remains one of my favs. As for the socks, they reach pretty much thigh high although I wear them more over the knee. Sometimes I like to pair them with my spiked sock garters which makes a nice look but they stay up just fine without garters as well. These, like the fencenet thigh highs, are one of the styles that I have in the most color varieties so that has to tell you something about how much I like them. They’re nylon/pantyhose material and with all the different colors I have I still have yet to get a run in a single pair! That definately says something for their quality as well! Definately highly recommended!!

February 25th, 2006 Grey & Black Stripes

Get ready for a stripes overload!!

Grey and Black Stripes

I just got the skirt at Good Will the day I got the legwarmers and I got the shirt at Gadzooks when I went to the mall with my sister the other day. I ordered the socks to go with the skirt but the grey actually matched the shirt much better. I think the outfit’s cute but it’s too much so I didn’t actually wear it out like that, I took off the legwarmers and skirt and put on jeans instead. But for the pictures I thought it was great!

Grey and Black Stripes

The socks are my favorites, the Over the Knee Stripes, in grey and black, my second pair of the style. I wore them with the No Foot Boot legwarmers in black. The socks are really comfy and I love them, they only get a little uncomfortable when you wear them over the knee for too long. See they reach there, but the elastic quickly becomes a bit too tight for my tastes. They stay up comfortably right below the knee where I wore them though. I really like the legwarmers too, I needed a more knitty black legwarmer and ordered these not too long ago. It was so strange because it was the only thing I ordered at the time and I so wasn’t used to such a small package from Sock Dreams! I love how they look scrunched up layered over anything really, even my spider web thigh highs like I wore to work one day, or just over skin under jeans. They’re definately getting a lot of use lately, even if it’s just around the house with my slippers for some extra warmth.

I made a big inventory spreedsheet and it looks like I’m up to 210 pairs of socks, legwarmers, armwarmers, tights, and other hosiery!!! And I believe 96 of them are from Sock Dreams alone. It’s becoming quite the collection! I’m planning on having a list of everything I own with links to the entries with pictures of them so I can keep track of what has or hasn’t been pictured and posted about and hopefully one day everything will be covered. That’s the plan anyways. :)

February 20th, 2006 Xhilaration Striped Lewarmers

I got some new Legwarmers at Good Will the other day and I just love them!

New Legwarmers

They’re Xhilaration brand and were only a dollar! Unfortunately when I got home and tried them on I realized there’s a big hole in the back of one of them. :(

New Legwarmers w/ hole :(

There’s also some little flowers attached randomly throughout that I had planned on just cutting off. But since there’s that huge hole I won’t be wearing them out and about where you can see them till it’s fixed so maybe I’ll keep the little flowers even though they’re kinda corny. I’ve been wearing these a lot lately where you can’t see them, like around the house or under big baggy jeans. They’re really warm and comfy and I do like them a lot. So I’m thinking I’ll either just sew the hole up or see if a lady I know from work who can knit can fix them or not. We’ll see. But either way I’ll keep wearing them cuz I like them a lot.

Also added a bunch of older entries (back-dated to the dates of the pictures) because I have a lot of pictures that I never used for this just laying around on my computer not being used for anything. Also a new Toe Socks category and I chaned the Anklets/Midcalves/Etc category to Shorties and the Knee High to Knee High/OTK since sometimes the stuff I put in there goes a little over the knee and sometimes it goes a lot over and makes it into the OTK/Thigh High category, I just thought it was a better way of categorizing them.

February 9th, 2006 Lime O Pastels

Here’s another cute outfit. It’s my Lime O Pastels with a black skirt and my hot pink Stiletto Killers tee with a lime green heart on it. When I actually wore it out of the house yesterday I had the O Pastels cuffed down to the ankle with my new black No Foot Boot socks (legwarmers) over-top but I didn’t take pictures right away and now they’re waiting to get washed.

Lime O Pastels

Surprisingly I actually ended up wearing the O Pastels to sleep last night and they were very comfy. They didn’t even fall down my legs the whole night. The O Pastels are awesome! They also look great slouched down at the ankles like I did a while back in the “Green Skulls” entry.

February 6th, 2006 Super Bowl Skater Socks!

Yesterday was the Super Bowl and my team, the Steelers, WON!!
Here’s the outfit I wore.
Super Bowl outfit

It’s a black tank with lace trim along the neck, with a shirt I made on top of it and black pants with a white star on one leg and black and gold striped skater socks folded over to make anklets! The shirt was originally an XXL because that’s the only size they had left when I bought it at the bar. But I cut it up and laced it up the side with ribbon and made little straps but they didn’t really do anything so it was pretty much a tube top over a tank but I got lots of compliments!

And here’s just a close up of the socks!
Super Bowl outfit

The Skater Socks I wore were from the 22inch Combo Pack I got a while ago. I’d definately buy more socks from them if I could make my own combo or buy just one pair, they mostly only sell them in 3 or 5 packs and I don’t need multiple pairs of the same sock because I don’t wear them enough to wear them out and I like to have different styles to match different outfits and show them off.
