August 22nd, 2006 Cereal Killer and Blue on Black Skater Socks

So I got some new t-shirts recently from TheCottonFactory and they’re super cute.

I wore this outfit to work and afterwards when I went over my friend’s house to hang out with her and my soon-to-be god daughter, Skye-Marie.

The shirt is called “Cereal Killer” and I thought it was frickin hilarious. I wore it with a pair of old baby blue pants that matched pretty well and some black with baby blue striped Skater Socks. Couldn’t really see the stripes on the socks since it was with pants but I rolled them up for this next pic:

P.S. the shirt is on sale right now for $10 so if you’re interested I’d definitely snap to it quickly before the sale’s over and it’s back to $15.

August 22nd, 2006 Greens Skater Stripes

I’ve been wearing a lot of stripes lately, especially those that are or look like tube socks. This morning I was actually looking for a pair of plain white socks in my big old basket ‘o socks when I came across one of these that I had forgotten about and decided to search till I found the match. Don’t you just love when you find a pair of socks you haven’t worn in a long time that just happens to go great with what you’re wearing for the day!?

I’m actually pretty tired by now since it’s been a long day but I didn’t want to go to bed before catching up on all my recent sock outfits in here. This is yet another pair worn with my work Unique shirt for work. At least the socks are always fun and different from day to day when the rest of the uniform is pretty much the same.

These are another pair of Sock Dream’s Skater Stripes in White and Greens. I got these back when the Skater Stripes first came out so I do believe they’re a little thinner than the black and yellows I wore the other day. For some reason this style actually stays up a lot better than the M Stripes and Green/Pink/Purple/Grey…Knees lines. I don’t really know why that is but I always like things to stay up without help so it’s definitely not a bad thing.

August 22nd, 2006 Black and Yellow Skater Stripes

So it’s that time again… that’s right, Football time!! And I just got two new pairs of Black and Gold socks in my order last week… Just in time for the pre-season game on Saturday night!

I wore the new black and yellows skater stripes with a yellow basic tee from Forever21 and some black shorts I got at Kaufmann’s a while back. I went to the Pig Roast at the VFW after work and got some comments on the outfit from some of the people who know me but hadn’t seen me in a while. One guy, Bob, asked if I’m gonna keep wearing outfits like this even when it’s cold out, which he should already know the answer to after last football season (YES, of course!)

We ended up watching the game at my sister’s friend Kait’s house after swimming (I wore a black and gold bathing suit as well!). I’m hoping to get my sister wearing black and gold related socks with me this year too! We’ll see how that goes….

As for these, I really like the combo. Sock Dreams has a unique way with their stripes as opposed to Skater Socks. These aren’t tube socks though, but the look is much the same that other people probably wouldn’t know the difference. They’re a lighter cooler sock so they’ll probably require more layering when it gets colder but they were perfect on Saturday when it was quite hot at the Pig Roast!

August 21st, 2006 Journey’s Tube Socks

So I went all the way to the mall on Friday (by myself) to pick up these gorgeous tube socks in shades of brown at Journey’s because they’re not available online but they were said to be in-stock at my mall. But they weren’t and I was super disappointed cuz Skater Socks doesn’t have browns and I’ve wanted them to make them. I did end up getting a 5 pack with some pastel/bright type colors that I don’t think Skater Socks makes either.

I already have red and white Skater Socks but didn’t feel like looking for them and wanted to try out the new socks instead. Just figures the first pair in the 5-pack that I end up wearing is a color I already have….

The rest of the outfit is ANOTHER new shirt from TheCottonFactory (and I still have a few more I haven’t worn yet!) featuring the Kool-Aid man going “Oh Yeah!” and a pair of grey terry cloth shorts from Boskov’s last summer. I wore this out to the drive in when I went to see “Snakes on a Plane” and “the Descent” with my friend Katie last night.

The socks are a little shorter than the 22inch variety from Skater Socks that I wear most often, I also think they’re a little less cushy. But they stayed up nicely and were comfy so I liked them all the same. Wore the shirt again this morning to the doctor’s just cuz I didn’t want to wear my work shirt and the lady at the front desk thought it was really cute! I definitely need to start up my t-shirt journal soon so I don’t talk about them all in here first!

August 18th, 2006 Hot dog <3 and Brown Multi-Stripes

Brown is one of my favorite colors and this outfit was chock full of it!!

The shirt is one of my new ones from TheCottonFactory (it’s got an adorable sad hot dog who’s thinking about the bun that she loves and misses) and the shorts are another pair of my fav American Apparel Interlock running shorts. The socks I got a while back from Sock Dreams and I love them to pieces!

I didn’t wear this outfit to work cuz I can’t wear the shorts there because they’re pretty short and it might be considered inappropriate. But I did wear it out to dinner with my parents and long-time family friends Missi and Rob at The Ground Round. Missi really liked the socks and my parents both agreed that I should of been her child cuz we’re much more alike.

These socks are one of my favorite pairs. They’re EG Smith brand and currently out of stock again (guess they must be a few other people’s favorites as well!). I really like all the colors together and they’re light and comfy and stay up amazingly right where you put them. <3 <3

August 18th, 2006 Skull Argyles

These came from another awesome site that I’ve found out about recently, Sock Army. Sock Army reminds me a lot of Sock Dreams, even with free shipping, but with a much smaller inventory. But those are big shoes to fill and the army IS just starting out.

One plus about the Sock Army is that they had some stuff that Sock Dreams doesn’t have, and some of those things I just HAD to have. One was the Plaid Thigh Highs which I had seen at Hot Topic a while back but had sold out before I could get a pair. The other is these argyle skulls!!

The rest of the outfit is my little white terry cloth material shorts and an adorable striped tank with a huge white skull on it from Delia’s. I fell in love with the shirt a while ago but didn’t want to pay $40 for something I wouldn’t be able to wear too often. But once it went on sale for $20 I was all over it and glad to add it to my wardrobe.

The socks are thin which is perfect for how hot it has been lately. They stay up nicely and stretch well even on my thick calves. I just love the addition of the little skulls to the argyle pattern, if there were stripes it’d be all three of my favorite things in socks!

Unfortunately I couldn’t find them on the site today to link directly to them so they must be sold out. But you should definitely check out Sock Army and take advantage of the 10% off deal they’re running now while they’re still starting up. You get an adorable little army man with your package as well as some cute little Sock Army postcards you can share with your friends!

P.S. Woo Hoo! Apparently the LoungeFly site is now up and running (that’s what brand these are) so if you’re looking to pick these up, you can get them right from them for $10!! And they’ve got a bunch of other cute things too!!! So excited!!

August 18th, 2006 Polka Dots and Ruffles…

Have you heard of LaLa Lingerie?? They’re formerly known as Hustler’s Panties and I got my Santa’s Helper costume from them a while back. Well they have a MySpace page and they do this thing where they post a bulletin showing off an item, and the first person to comment on their page about it, WINS IT, absolutely free!! And that’s no joke cuz I’ve won once and got a booby prize a second time and THIS is the booby prize….

Black and Pink knee high socks with polka dots and ruffles!!

I had actually posted to win some red stilettos but another girl beat me to it. They were nice enough to send me a booby prize, and since they know I love socks, this was it!

The rest of the outfit is pretty simple, just a black tank from Forever 21 and the American Apparel shorts I got from Dirty Shirty. These socks are real comfy since they’re sock material as opposed to hosiery type material. And they stay up really well while looking absolutely frickin adorable! <3 <3

P.S. Remember to add La La Lingerie on MySpace if you want a chance to win some of their sexy goodies for yourself (or that special woman in your life).

P.S.S. These socks are only 8.99 and if you spend $10 you get free shipping anywhere in the US!
