| October 26th, 2006 | Sexy Nurse with Opaque and Fishnet |
The black vinyl nurse costume made a comeback this year for Halloween, but I couldn’t just wear it again, I had to switch it up a little. So this time I wore solid red opaque tights with my footless fishnets and also picked up a crop with a nurse symbol on it from Hot Topic. I wore the costume to Shocktoberfest with my friend Stephanie, and we made her a costume that was similar too!
Her costume features my black vinyl corset (also by Leg Avenue) worn over a long skirt she had for a while. She also picked up a little Devil accessory kit at Party City that was red and shiny and went well with the vinyl. It included the ears, pitchfork and tail. We looked super hot together as you can see!!
The costume is REALLY short, but I had extra protection with the two layers of tights and a pair of vinyl boy short undies underneath. The tights are really bright but the fishnet over top helped to tone it down a bit. Plus since they were footless I didn’t have that weird feeling on my feet from the netting after standing for a while. We didn’t stick around for any costume contests even though we probably would have done pretty well if we had, but we headed back towards home and hung out at our local bar as the ONLY two people in costume and it went well. Usually I’m pretty nervous when I stand out like that, but I think having Stephanie dressed up with me helped a lot. And our costumes were a big hit with nothing but compliments and admiring stares so that helped as well! Posted in Fishnet, Full Length, Solids | 4 Comments »

| October 23rd, 2006 | Candy Corn Argyles |
Halloween socks!! I love them! I wore this outfit a few weeks ago but didn’t take pictures till later. I was excited because I still fit in my orange plaid skirt (since I lost a few pounds again) and it happened to match well with my new socks.
And here’s a close up of the socks, grey mid-calves with an orange and yellow argyle design and little candy corns all over the place.
They are just TOO CUTE! Pretty sure I got them at Kohls. |

| October 23rd, 2006 | Target Halloween Argyles |
These are from Target and I got them last year, but you can still pick up a pair for yourself this year if you want them. I also saw they have a black/purple/gray argyle in their Halloween display this year as well.
The outfit is a long black peasant skirt with orange tank top from Forever 21 and a green half sweatshirt from Aeropostale. I didn’t actually wear this out of the house, although I did like how it looked together, because I got some new socks in the mail (a wish list present) and decided to lose the green top and wear the new orange and kelly green striped socks instead.
I love these argyles to death though. They stretch up to over my knees but I don’t usually wear them that way because the design starts to get stringy when they’re stretched that far. If you have skinnier legs it probably wouldn’t be a problem for you. These are really warm and really comfy. The colors are almost neon they’re so bright, and they haven’t faded after being washed a few times either. I saw these being shown off by another member of the Socks_Fun Live Journal community and just HAD to have them. I picked up the last pair at my store last year, but I’ve seen them in Target again this year as well. |

| October 21st, 2006 | Sexy Policewoman with Showgirl Fishnets |
I dressed up in two different costumes this year for Halloween. The Sexy Police Woman was a HUGE hit and won me a total of $105 dollars in two different costume contests, more than paying for itself`and helping out a lot with not having a new job yet. It’s a jumper and my “cheeks” stick out a little in the back but the fishnet tights that I have are solid black at the top and just looked weird peeking out from under the costume, so I ended up picking up the ShowGirl Fishnet Pantyhose from Sock Dreams to wear with it instead.
These are some high quality fishnets. They have padded feet for a little extra comfort in heels and the fishnet itself had more of a plasticy feel to it. Wasn’t uncomfortable at all, just really sturdy. And the first time I wore them, by the time I was in bed at the end of the night I could STILL feel the fishnet on my legs because my boots were so tight squeezing them against my skin all night. It almost hurt. But by the next time I wore them it was completely fine and I even had them on a lot longer. That’s probably the key, they probably just stretch out more the longer you have them on and therefore are more comfortable.
The costume was a great deal. It was $59.99 with free shipping at LaLa Lingerie and included the jumper, hat, hand cuffs, baton, and belt. The handcuffs were plastic and broke right away but I was able to get a pair of metal ones from my friend Marshal. Also I wanted a gun so I ended up picking up this little orange one at the Halloween store at the mall that came in a little holster attached to a garter belt you wear on your leg. Unfortunately it broke the first time I wore it after walking around for a while (damn you thunder thighs!) and I didn’t end up sewing it back together in time for the next party so I just went without the gun the second time around. I got TONS of compliments at both parties, more especially at the second one. When it came to voting for the costume contest everyone around the little “stage” we had to stand on was saying it was me hands down. Even other girls were complimenting me all night, and another girl in a cop outfit said she had to spend a bunch of money on her accessories because her costume didn’t come with everything like mine did. So I really lucked out this year. And to think it wasn’t even one of the costumes I was considering after browsing a bunch of sites and I just happened to try it on at the Halloween store and fell in love with it. Funny how things work out sometimes. |

| October 7th, 2006 | Swinging in Black Skater Socks |
These are my black with white striped Skater Socks paired with a black tank and shorts. Again I just wanted to share the pics because I like them. It was after the last Steelers game. The game sucked ass and we lost so we all took off all our Steelers gear after we left the bar cuz we didn’t want to think about the game anymore. It was a beautiful day, probably one of the last beautiful warm sunny days we’ll have around here in a long time, so we wanted to take advantage of it by doing something outside.
I love to swing so me, my sister, and Stephanie all headed out to the park to swing. Well I did most of the swinging by myself while they played on the baseball diamond trying to pass the lacrosse ball back and forth. Got my sister to take some pictures of me swinging though and here’s just a couple of the better ones.
