So I actually wore booties a lot this holiday season. Turned out the only socks I could get over that big cast were little booties, who knew? So I bought a couple new pairs but they didn’t end up being stretchy enough, but I still wore them after the cast was off and here they are!

First pair was bought last year at Kohls (i think). They’re black with little Frankensteins on the back and on the foot design. Super cute, and they remind me of the little pom pom booties that I wore a ton of in middle school.

Next is a new pair from this year that my mom got me at Eckerd/RiteAid of all places. They have adorable girly skull and crossbones on the foot with orange sparkly eyes and bows. And they also have little puffy Skeletons on the back like the Frankenstein pair.

And the third and final pair came from Deb this year for only $2. They’re just various black and white skull and crossbones in a checkered pattern.

Ok so I had my post-surgery follow up and they took off the wrapping to do the x-ray. Man was I glad I didn’t take it off myself the day before when I was allowed, cuz my foot was all pruned up and looking like Freddy Kruegar and I probably would have cried till my appointment. It’s sooo not used to not having the pressure from the wrappings on it either so it twiches around every once in a while and I can’t control it.

But the good news is, the finally gave me the Walker Boot and cleared me for walking again!!! My mood was instantly improved when he said that! Told me to start off with both crutches still and then go down to one and then none. So it looks like I’ll make it to this weekend’s Halloween parties after all! Thank God!

So I guess surgery went well. They have my foot all wrapped up so I can’t really see what they did but my follow up is tomorrow so I’ll take pictures after that.

It’s a good thing I took advantage of that two sock thing for the whole day that I could cuz I’m not even trying to get anything over that anyways. Besides all I’ve done this past week is lay around in pain or nauseous off the nasty Percocets they have me on. Man do I hope this is over with soon!

The only socks I’ve been wearing lately are those “spiffy” hospital slipper socks, and only one at that. But I might as well share a picture of that too, lol.

So I went to the orthopedic doctor finally today and I GOT THE CAST OFF!! I was sooo excited snapping pictures the whole time and finally getting to see my mangled foot and everything.

They ended up giving me a velcro foot brace thing and scheduling me for surgery tomorrow. Yikes! But at least I was able to finally wash my leg after 3 weeks and not have to get all wrapped up for showers anymore. And of course the first thing I did after cleaning up was put on my other sock!! Two socks are DEFINITELY better than one! And I was trying to take advantage of it while I could cuz who knows what it’ll be like after surgery. :/

The socks are another pair of my new tubes I got the day before the accident. They’re 22 inch royal blue and black stripes (Item #22-27 on this page if you wanna pick them up).

The pants are plaid capris from Deb for only $6 which I couldn’t pass up cuz they’re sooooo cute! And the tank is just a plain black one from Forever 21.

Wish me luck that everything goes well with surgery tomorrow!

So I recently got around to taking pictures in the outfit I wore with the new Pink Skater Socks the night before my accident. The day I actually wore them out I was able to wear both, but when I took the pics I still had on the plaster so I could only wear one.

The rest of the outfit is a double pink striped top from Forever21 (that I got from a friend) and a pleated jean skirt from Fashion Bug. I also wore my ADIDAS massaging flip flops but didn’t get any pics in those.

I absolutely love these socks and so did everyone else. I was so excited to finally have them since I fell in love instantly when I saw them on the MySpace page. They’re Item #22-105 on this page if you want to pick them up for yourself.

So I got a bunch of new Skater Socks the day before the accident and am still trying to wear them even though I can only wear one since they won’t stretch over the cast.

A lot of the new combos I got were black and gold to wear for Steelers games. So I decided to wear the black with gold stripes first since the black pairs are always my faves!

These pics were taken on my camera phone in my living room and it was kinda dark so I brightened them up in Photoshop a little.

There’s not much more for me to say about the Skater Socks since I’ve reviewed them a zillion times before. Just that I love them and they’re just as awesome as ever! They’re item #22-51 on this page if you want to pick them up.

So last weekend I got in a car accident on my way home from work. Spent the rest of the weekend in the hospital and my car is totaled. I have a broken ankle and a small hole in my lung, both of which are supposed to heal on their own. But in the meantime, I have to get around on crutches and have a heavy ass cast on my leg. Can’t drive (or work or walk normal) for 6-8 weeks so that sucks. And what bums me out a lot is that I can’t wear cute socks and Halloween is pretty messed up as well. So I’ve been wearing one sock on my good leg lately just because I got all these new socks the day before the accident and don’t want to wait a few months to wear them. This way I can wear each pair twice before I wash them since they’re only going on one foot and tube socks go on either foot. Then I still wash them as a pair so one doesn’t shrink more than the other or anything like that. Still need to get pics to show off the pink tubes since I wore them the first day but didn’t get any pics that night. My pics will just be mainly one leg for a while since the other one is ugly in that damn cast.
