It’s been over 8 months now since my car accident back in the end of September but I still get asked every once in a while how I’m doing and I realized I never really did an update.

I’ve been cleared for work and driving since I finished physical therapy back in December or November 07. Didn’t get a car till March though so I didn’t actually start working again till a few weeks after that. But right now things are much better. I’m pretty much all healed up. I don’t know if I’ll ever be 100% the same as I was before the accident. But the scar is a whole lot better, sometimes barely even visible, especially in pictures. (see for yourself, this shot was taken today)

I have some arthritis pain every once in a while, usually triggered by cold weather or rain. And sometimes when I get on my tip toes (like when trying to reach something high up when I’m out shopping) it’ll hurt. But for the most part, it doesn’t really bother me, so I’m pretty thankful for that.

I’ve been working as an Administrative Assistant for 8 weeks now and it’s going really well. It’s my first professional job and I have a lot of freedom and flexibility which I love. And of course it’s been a welcome change to finally have something to do all the time during the day and to be caught up on all my bills and getting to go shopping and go out and do whatever much more than I used to. It’s just really nice.
